Guest Speaker: Esme-Dijke

ESME DIJKE, PhD

Esmé Dijke received her PhD in transplant immunology in the laboratory of Drs. Carla Baan and Willem Weimar at the Erasmus University in Rotterdam, where her doctoral studies focused on the role of regulatory T cells in adult heart transplant recipients. In 2009, she joined the lab of Dr. Lori West as a Postdoctoral Fellow.

Guest Speaker: Kathryn Tinckam

KATHRYN TINCKAM, MD, MMSc, FRCPC

Dr. Kathryn Tinckam is a transplant nephrologist at the University Health Network in Toronto, Canada, and Co-Director of the HLA Laboratory. She is also Medical Advisor - Transplantation for Canadian Blood Services, responsible for interprovincial listing and allocation and the Canadian Transplant Registry.

LORI J. WEST, MD, DPhil, FRCPC

Dr. West is a clinician-scientist at the University of Alberta in Edmonton, Canada, where she is Professor of Pediatrics, Surgery and Immunology and Interim Director of the Alberta Transplant Institute. She also serves as Director of the recently launched Canadian National Transplant Research Program (CNTRP).
