The Women in Transplantation (WIT) initiative of The Transplantation Society is pleased to announce the first Developing Leaders Workshop that will be held one day before the 2016 American Transplant Congress on Saturday, June 11th, 2016 in Boston, MA, USA.

This workshop will focus on providing transplant professionals with the information and tools necessary to excel in areas of their career outside traditional research and scientific themes. WIT has enlisted expert speakers to foster and enhance participants’ leadership development and provide extended networking opportunities for women transplant professionals.

This workshop is designed to provide you with strategies for projecting personal leadership presence on every level. You’ll gain greater self-awareness and a framework for managing your brand reputation. Using real life stories, best practices and tactical tips for enhancing your leadership style, this workshop will help you to promote your personal brand and navigate your career to leverage your talents and passion.

You’ll learn how to avoid self-limiting barriers, communicate with greater confidence and toot your own horn with subtlety. You’ll explore techniques for managing impressions to carve out a consistent message. This will include the power of your body language and understanding how to project authority and personal power.

In addition, you’ll leave knowing how to frame the picture you want others to see that showcases your “remarkable” self. Topics covered:

ESTER BANQUE is Vice President and Head of Immunology & Dermatology, US General Medicines at Novartis Pharmaceuticals Corporation. She is responsible for overall strategy and management of revenue growth and profitability for the business in the areas of Dermatology, Transplant, Rheumatology and Inflammatory Diseases, and is a member of the US GenMeds Executive Committee and the Compliance Committee.

Ester has had more than 20 years of pharmaceutical industry experience serving in leadership roles in Spain, the UK and Region Europe (comprised of 50 countries) before joining the US.

Throughout her career, Ester has been committed to winning for patients and responsible for a broad portfolio of products in multiple disease states including Dermatology, Rheumatology and Hematology, representing a variety of brands and launching new products and indications. She has also received global recognition for building high-performing teams, driving innovation and launching with excellence.

Ester holds an MBA from Universitat Pompeu Fabra and a degree in Chemistry from Universitat Autonoma de Barcelona in Spain.
