The TTS Women in Transplantation initiative has been set up to provide support and guidance to future generations of transplant professionals. Our Networking Events are an interesting and unique opportunity for women to make contact with others in the same field.

Rebecca is the executive producer of SG Multimedia & IT Services LLC’s video division. Rebecca came to SGMIT from CBS News where she researched, developed and produced stories for 60 Minutes and 60 Minutes II. Most recently she completed the non-fiction book, Behind Blue Eyes – Memoirs of NYPD Cop Bill Fischer, co-authored with 9/11 first responder and highly decorated retired police officer William F. Fischer.

Rebecca has worked in media as a broadcast journalist, producer, writer and oral presentation coach for more than twenty years and is a lifetime member of the Writers Guild of America, East. Her work has been honored with multiple national awards including two Emmy Awards, a Writers Guild of America Award, and two George Foster Peabody Awards for excellence in journalism.

LORI J. WEST, MD, DPhil, FRCPC

Dr. West is a clinician-scientist at the University of Alberta in Edmonton, Canada, where she is Professor of Pediatrics, Surgery and Immunology and Interim Director of the Alberta Transplant Institute. She also serves as Director of the recently launched Canadian National Transplant Research Program (CNTRP).
